CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS MADCAT WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (Sept. 5-30) emphasizes innovative works by women which challenge the use of sound, images and visual story-telling. Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival is a Southern California event highlighting films and music from around the globe. The festival has a partnership with the Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF), which includes collaboration on films, awards, showcases and retrospectives. TVIFMF will include an Italian Showcase and the grand jury award-winning feature will screen at RIFF. The International Broadcasting Convention is one of the world's premier broadcast technology event. The show covers all the key areas of the electronic media business including audio, cable, film, grip, Internet, lighting, multimedia, production, post-production, radio, satellite and transmission. Within the 430,400 square feet of exhibition space visitors will find more than 1,000 companies including every major supplier of broadcast technology. The six-stream conference tackles all the technical, management and creative issues affecting our industry. World 3D Film Expo

SabuCat Productions will present the largest 3D tribute show ever at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Boulevard). The 10-day festival, which celebrates the golden era of 3D filmmaking, will include many of the best known 3D titles of the 1950's, such as BEANY & CECIL, HOUSE OF WAX, KISS ME KATE and CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, but will also offer fans of the format an opportunity to see some of the more obscure 3D movies.
