 <description>&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;NPAR 2000 is the first international symposium dedicated to non-photorealistic animation and rendering, including cartoon animation systems and techniques. Held in conjunction with the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, SIGGRAPH and Eurographics, the symposium will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and the industry. It will showcase cutting-edge research in non-photorealistic animation and rendering systems and techniques, and present examples of their application in original computer-animated films.</description>

Even with a new name, the Festival invites both animators and spectators to take part in five days of animated fun to promote the screening and better understanding of animation. The festival presents: Nordic and Baltic films in competition, Nordic and Baltic Panorama, International highlights, a Focus on Canadian animation, Paul Driessan as Guest of Honor, Animated Special Effects, a Celebration of Oskar Fischinger, Jury Progams, Exhibitions and even more.</description>

 <title>The 6th Annual Toronto Short Film Festival</title>

 <description>&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;The festival will have the following categories/programs: Computer Animation, International, Visions Canada, Children&#039;s Cinema and Midnight&#039;s Mania. Films must have been completed after June 1998, and not exceed 40 minutes. Films will be selected based on quality and originality. In conjunction with the festival, a marketplace will be set up for TV buyers, distributors, producers, exhibitors, development and acquisition executives and networks to view all films submitted on video. Over 1,600 videos will be included in the market catalogue.</description>

The exhibit will highlight Zanetti&#039;s Hollywood film designs that combine Gothic and Romanesque styles. Recently Zantetti helped bring to life the evil house in THE HAUNTING. The Argentine-born designer has created amazing visuals for such movies as WHAT DREAMS MAY COME, FLATLINERS and WARRIORS OF VIRTUE. The traveling event screened in Valence, France earlier this year and moved to Annecy at the beginning of the Annecy Animation Festival. The event features scripts, storyboards, original drawings, sets, models and puppets.&lt;br&gt;
