The call for entries of SorsiCorti Short Film Festival 7th Edition is online.

The event, produced by Piccolo Teatro Patafisico, will consist of three evenings that will take place May 10-11-12, 2013 in Palermo.

This year we offer four sections in contest, with a few changes from previous editions: a national competition "On any subject Italy" for works produced in Italy, the running time of which must not exceed 20 minutes for Fiction, Animation, Videoart categories and 30 minutes for Documentary category; an international competition "On any subject International Competition" for works produced outside Italy, the running time of which must not exceed 20 minutes

for Fiction, Animation and Video art categories and 30 minutes for Documentary category; the real novelty of this year "Cortissimi/a glass in a minute" for works produced in or outside Italy, the running time of which must not exceed 1 minute, with the appearance of wine in video as a prerequisite; and the last section “SorsiSound” dedicated to music video clips from and outside Italy.

Registration for the competition is open until March 4, 2013.

Send us your short features, animations, trash movies, documentaries, music videos, etc. We bring everything on screen that is freaky, crafty, slick, hard-boiled, and witty! Anything is allowed - as long as it's short and cheap!

 

As a short film festival for low & no budget productions, ClipAward explicitly addresses independent filmmakers who make films without big money. Therefore, your submissions may not be produced within the scope of media studies and exceed 500€ per minute. The maximum length is 15 minutes. The shorts have to be subtitled in German or English.

 

The festival takes place from April 26th-28th, 2013 in the Mannheim Palace, Germany.

Films by all animators (of all ethnicities) pertaining to Asian issues and themes will also be considered. Please submit DVD screeners for consideration. If selected, all films will be screened in glorious HD 1080p format. A Best Animated Short Film Award will be awarded with prizes to be determined.The year 2012 will be SDAFF's 13th year of celebrating the best in Asian Cinema in sunny San Diego. Last year, SDAFF screened over 150 films in 8 days with many industry celebrities in attendance. The all-animation program was a resounding success with 2 sold out shows due to popular demand. David Chai's "Enrique Wrecks The World" took the Best Animated Short Award. Help make SDAFF a success again by submitting your animation and spreading the word to your friends and associates who may also be interested. DOCartoon-The Drawing of Reality

Launched last year, DOCartoon is ‘the first festival in the world to be primarily dedicated to animated documentaries and non-fiction comics’. A mix of short and feature-length animadoc films, meetings and exhibitions takes place in the old Tuscan town of .Pietrasanta, between seaside and mountains, where Michelangelo would stop after choosing the marble blocks who would work on. No competition, no awards but a good selection of quality feature and short animated documentary films, encounters with artists, events and art exhibitions in the best locations in town.
