The Annie Awards will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at UCLA's Royce Hall, in Los Angeles, California. General Admission tickets are $25. Award Ceremony starts at 7:00 p.m.

ASIFA-Hollywood member VIP tickets are $150, and non-member VIP tickets are $250. (VIP tickets include: Champagne Reception at 5:00 p.m., Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. and Post Award Party immediately following the ceremony)

Presented by the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, the 37th Annual Annie Awards will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at UCLA's Royce Hall, in Los Angeles, California. The award ceremony will also be webcasted on www.annieawards.org at a later date.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archives, Library and Museum.

Nokia Mobifest Toronto, Canada's premier made-for-mobile film festival, is now accepting submissions for its fourth annual event. Filmmakers -- from amateur to professional -- are invited to submit original films of 90 seconds or less for programming consideration. Entry is free and open to both local and International content creators, aged 18 or older. All genres are welcome and entrants may create and edit video using any equipment of their choice. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm EST on Monday, September 28th, 2009. Festival details and complete online submission instructions can be found at: www.mobifest.net. Set to culminate with a finalist screening in Toronto on November 3rd, all official selections will be eligible to win in one of three Nokia Mobifest Toronto award categories. The festival's second award will be given out to the top Animation entry, and the final honour will be awarded to the winner of the prestigious Best of Festival category. International Festival of Animation FIA 09:
Universidad ORT Uruguay, organizer of FIA 09, is pleased to invite animators, producers and specially students and graduates of animation schools to present works to be selected for an exhibition and subsequent awarding between the 26th and the 27th of October of 2009 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Objective:
Universidad ORT Uruguay aims to spread and to exhibit animations produced by students and graduates of animation, independent animators and international producers and also seeks to provide a space for artistic and technological reflection in this discipline.

Participation:
Any animated short movie, regardless its type or content may participate. The participation in the festival is open to students and graduates of animation schools, animation producers, advertising agencies and independent animators, in order to present works to be selected for an exhibition and subsequent awarding between the 26th and the 27th of October of 2009 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The deadline for reception of all materials is going to be the 15th of September of 2009.

About DC Anime Club:
DCAC was established in 2003 to introduce and educate people in the Washington,DC area about East Asian culture, through viewing and discussion of Japanese animation (also known as anime) and Japanese comics (manga). DCAC is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, contributions to DC Anime Club are taxed deductible to the extent allowable under the law.

ANIMA'09 will take place in the city of Cordoba, Argentina, from October 8 through 10, 2009. The festival is organized by the Centro Experimental de Animacion and the Secretaria de Extension Universitaria, National University of Cordoba. This fifth edition of the ANIMA will be dedicated to exploring the concept of Identity Traits. Animation Dance Association Championships

Now for the first time in the history of animation ADA creates a professional league among animators, similar to those of NFL, NBA, and MLB. ADA divided the planet into four divisions and each division will consist of 30 professional teams. In order to select the best teams there will be held a 16-week Championship starting on October 7. The main prize is $100,000 but every week you will also have a chance to win $10,000. Absolutely anybody who created an animated clip and uploaded it to www.adasport.com can take part in the Championship. Animated clips can be in any animation genre and the duration should be from 15-60 seconds. The animated character in the clip should perform any dance to any kind of music.
