FMX is Europe's largest conference on the the convergence of film, television, computers, consoles and mobile devices. Every year artists, specialists, scientists, producers and other key people come to FMX to present new projects, developments and opportunities in the Conference, at the Marketplace, in Workshops or Presentations, in the Recruiting Hub or Education Section, Screenings or Events.

This year's motto is "lean, smart and agile". Topics will include virtual production, game cinematics, virtual humans, the indie movement, simulations and more.

THE CITRUS CEL ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY DRIPSBLACK

The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival (Citrus Cel) is a non profit organization that celebrates animation as a cultural and commercial medium with three days of screenings, parties and panels in Jacksonville, Florida. Citrus Cel will act as a hub for students and professionals from the fields of animation, design, illustration, and film, as well as add to the growing cultural landscape of festivals and events in northeast Florida.

SUBJECT 5 CON 

Is a Los Angeles Area convention showcasing Artists, Comic books, and top names in the Anime, Horror, and Comic book worlds. There will be panels, entertainment, food provided by sponsors included in the ticket price, and artists selling and showcasing there work.

This year the focus is ANIME. We have some of the top Anime and VO artists as guests who will be speakers on a panel, and signing autographs.

The event will also feature top comic book artists working for Marvel, DC Comics, and others.

CVMP –Conference for Visual Media Production - aims to bring together the worlds of academic algorithmic research and post production to discuss new advancements and innovative applications.

 

CVMP 2012 is the ninth in a series of events bringing together production and post-production specialists from the worlds of film, broadcast and games with imaging and graphics researchers. CVMP 2012 provides a European forum to discuss and share the latest research, advances and state-of-the-art industry practices.

Hey All,

I wanted to share an event with you taking place in March of 2013. The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival is running a competition called JUICED! This is a 24hr animation competition where teams are given a few texture assets and a theme, and they are given the task of creating an animated short in a mere 24hrs.

This is our second installment of JUICED!, and we would love to get some of you talented animators from the 11 second club to participate. You do not have to be present at the festival to participate and all animation can be done remotely, and submitted to the competitions sponsored YouSendit drop box.

Participate in the 17th edition of the BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL in November 2013.

We invite directors, screenwriters, producers, and students to submit their audiovisuals for all ages. Any type of audiovisual will be entered into pre-selection with photochemical or electronic media support. The audiovisuals competing for the Humanitarian prize should contain certain humanitarian values which favor democratic coexistence and growth of social citizenry, especially directed toward children or about childhood.

THEME: Children and youth – values that favor coexistence – all genres
-Productions for children and youth, productions about children and/or those that deal with childhood issues
-Productions made by children or teens in a framework of media literacy
-Productions made by students in audiovisual schools or universities
-Productions of general subject matter, for all audiences, that contain values and favor coexistence.

As in previous years, we are particularly interested in audiovisuals and that not only entertain but also educate and teach. The prestigious HUMANITARIAN and CREATIVE prize categories will be awarded.

Included this year:
-Professional Area, organized by the Association of Audiovisual Professionals of Catalunya (CPAC)
-Visit to the CaixaForum Mediatheque and CaixaForum exhibits
- Workshop and feature films in the afternoon

Universidad ORT Uruguay, organizer of FIA'12, is pleased to invite animators, producers and specially students and graduates of animation schools to present works to be selected for an exhibition and subsequent awarding between the 22nd and the 23rd October 2012 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

VIEW Conference is the premiere international event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 3D Animation, Gaming and VFX.

VIEW 2012, from 16th to 19th October in Torino, will continue to focus on exploring the increasingly fluid boundary between real and digital worlds. Through lectures, meetings, tributes, exhibits, screenings and demo presentations VIEW will reveal the new digital frontier sweeping from cinema to architecture, from automotive design to advertisement, from medicine to videogames.
