Anima Mundi Web 2004 is the 5th edition of the Internet Animation Contest of the International Animation Festival of Brazil, Anima Mundi. The contest is open to works specially created for the Internet, which may or not be previously released, produced by professional or amateur animators. There is no restrictions on themes and genres. Works are accepted in a single category: animations produced in the ".swf" format only and not exceeding 1MB in size. A cyber-jury -- anyone who registers online in the Anima Mundi Website -- and the professional jury, will decide the winners. There will be two prizes of R$ 1,500. ZOOLOOK Ent. and MediaTemple Inc. are hosting the 2nd Annual TGSNT competition. TGSNT seeks to recognize and reward independent storytellers worldwide who use Macromedia Flash MX or any third party software that exports to the swf format as a storytelling medium to produce original stories for the Web, DVD, TV, film and wireless entertainment. This year, the competition will offer double the exposure and double the prizes. Participating animators are also allowed to submit their original stories using the following software programs: Macromedia Flash 5/MX/MX 2004 Toon Boom Studio Electric Rain Swift 3D Softimage XSI LightWave 3D 3ds Max 6 Maya 6 Cinema 4D TGSNT competition is open to animators, filmmakers, independent storytellers and students worldwide. The Haydenfilms Online Film Festival is open to all student and independent films that have been created for production of all media. All genres will be accepted for review, including shorts, animation, experimental and documentary. CON-CAN Movie Festival is an audience-interactive online film festival targeting shorts. Thirty Grand-Prix nominees will be streamed for global viewing on the audience-interactive website. The Second Annual Haydenfilms Online Film Festival welcomes all student and independent films of any genre. A judging panel consisting of film experts and professors from New York University, Central Michigan University, Ohio University School of Film, Rochester Institute of Technology and others will critique each film to elect the finalists that will have their films showcased on the site for two months. Each finalist will receive a Haydenfilms Marketing Kit including merchandise and materials to promote their film on the Haydenfilms website. Members of Haydenfilms are able to view, vote, and write reviews on the films, and the film with the highest average score from valid votes will be awarded the $10,000 grand prize at the awards ceremony at the Director's Guild Theater.
