The Barcelona International Television Festival (FITB) is a three-day screening for children and young people from around the world: documentaries, animations, TV programs and series. Two prizes: UNICEF and CREATIVE will give awarded. The program includes MEDIA LITERACY, screenings from the ITC service of the department of education of the autonomous government of Catalonia and the exhibit of secondary school news programs, commercials and fiction videos organized by the Blanquerna Communication Department of the Ramon Llull University. TERRES EN VUES/LAND InSIGHTS, an association created to promote native culture, is presenting the 11th Edition of the Montreal First Peoples' Festival. The event highlights films made by American natives and about native issues and topics. Selected films and videos will be in competition, unless the filmmaker wishes them to be screened only. Awards will be given on June 17, during a special event. To be eligible for competition, the work must have been produced no more than 3 years before the festival. Awards are given for the artistic quality of the works showing originality in terms of content and style, a skillful sense of film or media expression and corresponding deeply to the soul of the First Peoples.

11th Mo&Friese Children's ShortFilmFestival Hamburg, Germany June 1-7, 2009 The Mo&Friese Children’s ShortFilmFestival is one of the few film festivals for children, that presents exclusively short films. It has developed out of a special programme of the International ShortFilmFestival Hamburg. In 1999 it became an independent festival and has grown ever since. Besides children it attracts also a professional international audience. The festival program addresses kids and teens between 4 and 14 years. Especially pupils and preschool children are invited to movie screenings which take place in the mornings.
