Meet the Oscars: An Exhibition of 50 Golden Statuettes
Reprising one of its most popular events, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences will unveil to the public the actual Oscars that will be handed out at the 80th Academy Awards ceremony. Visitors will be able to view and photograph the 50 golden statuettes -- and even pick one up -- on the fourth level of the Hollywood & Highland Center. Also on display will be the Oscar designated for the recipient of this year's Honorary Award, legendary production designer Robert Boyle; the Oscars given to director Frank Borzage and screenwriter Benjamin Glazer for their work on 7TH HEAVEN (1927); and the miniature Oscar presented to Judy Garland for her outstanding performance as a screen juvenile in 1939, the year she appeared in THE WIZARD OF OZ. Admission is free. For additional program information, call (310) 247-2688.
