aniBOOM.com , the largest collection of original content animation on the web, hosts the first annual international animation contest for filmmakers of all experience levels. 25 Semifinalists in 5 categories will be selected and screened on January 15, 2007, based on the votes of the worldwide animation community.

Both the general public and the panel of professional judges will then cast their vote for the best in each category, with one overall winner to be announced on January 30.

More than 1,500 films have already been submitted. The aniBOOM Awards seeks to discover new talent and gives the animation community a forum for sharing and receiving feedback on their work.
