CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!

Too Art for TV is an annual exhibition designed to promote and encourage the fine arts in the animation industry. We look for work that isn't your typical animation fair, and we accept anybody who works in animation broadly. We believe that artists in the animation industry have extraordinary artistic skills and a unique perspective on pop culture at large. We hope to continue to provide a reliable home for animation's creative minds otherwise "owned" by networks and studios.

We are now accepting submissions for our 5th annual event! Deadline is Sept. 30th 2010.

Cortoons TV: the Portal of short animated movie

Inside it, there are five dedicated channels: Cortoons TV, Cortoons Music, Cortoons 2D, Cortoons 3D, Cortoons Kids, already present on the platform Streamit at www.twww.tv

Tomorrow, October 28, simultaneously at the start of the International Animation Day, Cortitalia will launch the new entertainment portal: Cortoons TV at www.cortoons.tv .

Visible for free, in three different languages according to the access point, the portal includes its five dedicated TV channels - TV Cortoons, Cortoons Music Cortoons 2D, 3D Cortoons, Cortoons Kids – with a single portal interface with different instruments for each ones.

Each channel has of course its own different and original schedule, but all point to a common element: the vocation to transmit short animation. In this direction Cortoons Tv transmits a selection of the best short films from all around the world; Cortoons 2D give space for international products in 2D and Cortoons 3D does the same but with this different technique. Cortoons Kids, instead, speak to children for an educational and fun vision at the same time. Finally, Cortoons Music that has its focus on videoclips.

“Our portal will not be a classic Web Tv - says Alessandro D’Urso, artistic director of Cortitalia - and it won’t even be an exact copy of existing television content. On the contrary, relying on the platform Streamit, we define a real flow television, which offers each day a completely new programming.”

For a long time the five channels were present in the new platform Streamit on Twww.Tv, the TV browser founded by Gianni Armetta and Federico Luzi. Specifically, Cortoons Tv, positioned on channel 2 on the remote virtual Streamit, was one of the first to mount the platform established in 2007. The relationship between Cortitalia and Streamit is therefore a strong link that stands out in time, as demonstrated by the fact that the project “Cortoons Tv” was designed by Miller, the communication agency controlled by the two founders of the TV browser.

Cortitalia is a cultural association that has a strong activity in the field of short films. For years, it was involved in organizing Cortoons, International Short Film Festival of Animation in Rome, but has also created events like: the Agrigentocortofest, the P.I.A.F.F. and Casertanimata.
