VAFI is a film festival for animated films made by children or youth under 18 years old.
Croatia’s International Children and Youth Animation Film Festival Varaždin has issued a call for submissions to VAFI 5, the 2014 edition of the festival. VAFI 5 will be held from April 22-27, 2014.
VAFI is an international film festival for animated films MADE BY children and youth, but beginning this year, VAFI 5, it is also a film festival for animated films MADE FOR children and youth. From now on VAFI will be divided into two competitive sections: VAFI JUNIOR (for young filmmakers) and VAFI SENIOR (for adult filmmakers who make animated films for children and youth).
VAFI JUNIOR will be judged by adults, while the VAFI SENIOR competition will be judged by children animators from the Creative Film Studio VANIMA. Each competition has three categories: MINI, MIDI and MAXI.
