Animation Block Party 2007

Animation Block Party's 2007 edition will run from July 27-30 in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Over 60 films from a record 670 entries will be screened at the four-day summer festival. All genres will be represented and each night of ABP will have it?s own distinct flavor.

The festival opens on Friday July 27th at Rooftop Films in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The outdoor venue will feature live music from Demander followed by nearly two hours of animation. The after party will run from 11pm-1am at Matchless, featuring free Dewar's Scotch Whiskey and free Martin Miller's Gin.

ABP's second evening will broadcast on Saturday July 28th at the Pioneer Theater on Avenue A and 3rd in Manhattan. There will be three screenings at the Pioneer, running at 8:30, 10:15 and 12:00 midnight. The after party will begin after the 10:15 screening ends at Julep at 9 Avenue A with free Budweiser starting at midnight.

The third evening of ABP runs Sunday July 29th at Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It will open with a special global warming presentation from the Lower East Side Ecology Center, showcasing some "green" public service announcement films from Animation Block Party and the Sundance Channel. 90 minutes of festival animation will follow the environmental presentation, capped by New York?s Official Hip Hop Karaoke and free Brooklyn Brewery drinks.
