LIKE BREMEN
When you dream about places, you probably imagine the iconic, yet mysterious skyline of Manhattan, an heroic hike through the ragged landscape of Mordor or the crystal blue bay water, next to a palm tree on an unexplored Caribbean island.
Boing! A coconut hits your head, you wake up and realize that the cute lemur you were cuddling with was actually a dead rat. You realize that the vibrant landscape of your dreams was nothing but the Hanseatic city of Bremen, in the weathered north west corner of Germany. The beauty is gone, only struggle remains. You are German… Fucking German.
LIKE BREMEN is an stop motion animated series with wooden puppets, advertising the north German city of Bremen and promoting cultural integration.
The films are made by the illustration class at the University of arts in Bremen (HfK), supervised by Prof. Samuel Nyholm, Giacomo Porfiri, Ulrike Isenberg and Annika Larsson.
New episodes will be added two times per week until februari the 6th.
