Yves Rifaux (France) studied superior literary studies and journalism in Paris and Annecy for 30 years. Yves is the Director of Musee de L'Art de L'Enfance (the single European Museum dedicated to children) located in Annecy. He is also the author of many articles on the history and pre-history of animation cinema. Yves has participated as a jury member in several international animation festivals.

Thomas Basgier (Germany) has degrees in German Literature and history of the art. Thomas was one of the organizers of the International Film Festival of Stuttgart. Since then, he has specialized himself in writing critiques about films and worldwide animation events. For him, animation is the past and the future of art in cinema.
Maria Benesova (Czechoslovakia)
started working in 1960 in the research department of the Czech Institute
of Cinema, specializing in history and theory of animated cinema. In that
same year, she became a member of ASIFA. Maria's most recent work has been
dedicated to the world history of animation cinema. Maria has been a member
of the jury in several international festivals such as Oberhausen, Calcutta,
Frankfurt, Varna and Zagreb.
Jessica Langford (England)
has been working with the Edinburgh Workshop in Scotland since 1981, where
she develops a regular work of teaching animation to young people. Since
1994, she has been the President of Committee no. 5 of ASIFA. In November
1995, she took part in the CINANIMA/ASIFA workshop, during which a film
was made based on the Children's Rights which has already been shown in
several countries.

Lauro Antonio (Portugal) is a cinema critic, director and is responsible for several Portuguese festivals. He is also a member of the jury at various international festivals. Lauro has directed a few short films and a long - feature film entitled, "Manha Submersa," that later was divided into four episodes that were sold to several countries.

Teresa Villaverde (Portugal) has worked with several Portuguese directors as a co-writer, assistant director and annotator. In 1991, she directed her first long - feature film "A Idaho Mayor." Her filmography includes films such as "Tres Irmaos" and " O Amor nao me Engana." Teresa has participated in more than a hundred international festivals with her films and won several prizes.
