WORKSHOPS
From the 31st October to the 4th November you may attend a workshop of "Traditional Animation" having the computer as a complement. The teachers come from Lisbon and their names are Armando Coelho and Paulo Cambraia. Twenty people studying at the universities, with the discipline of animation cinema may enroll.

SEMINARS
During the week you may profit and enrol yourself in two seminars:

"From the Script to the Storyboard", oriented by Jean-Claude Palluau (France — director of the Cultural Association Collodion Humide) and Fernando Galrito (Portugal — Anthropologist, teacher at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), professor at the university and director) Two days for the animation professionals.

"The Sound in Cinema" given by Larry Sider. North-American, he's been living in England for several years. He has worked directly with David Lynch and Steven Spielberg.

PUBLICATIONS
Several books are being prepared to be published during the festival. All of them worth being read. If not, let's see:

Who doesn't remember the first "on-line" book to appear in Portugal? With Clix's support, that was the starting point and that it was given by one of our favourite writers. Who? Rui Zink. Dom Quixote is now publishing the e-book on paper. The place: Cinanima 2001. And the author will be at the festival during the whole week!

"The History of the Animation Cinema in Portugal" is finished. A study with much dedication by Cinanima's director, António Ferreira Gaio with the precious help of unconditional friends from all over the country and supported by Porto 2001.

Luís Costa and Mário Augusto are journalists working for "Público, "Rádio Nova" and "SIC". For those who don't know it, they have been members of this festival's Organising Committee. The love and the passion remained. Therefore, they have decided to publish a book, "25 Years of Cinanima", to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the festival.

These are some of the events but there is much more that can't be missed!
