This year's SITGES Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya features

The Museum of Television and Radio in New York and Los Angeles hosts a
retrospective of Hanna-Barbera's television series with a series of
60-minute screenings. The series includes SCOOBY-DOO, THE FANTASTIC FOUR,
SPACE GHOST, SUPERFRIENDS, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS, MAGILLA GORILLA, TOP

Jeffrey Scott will speak at the Women In Animation Writers'
Seminar Series at Saban Entertainment. Jeffrey has written over 450
animation scripts and has won three Emmys and the Humanitas Prize. He
currently works on DRAGON TALES which can be seen on PBS. The event takes

From September 22 to 26, the 1999 Cartoon Forum will be welcoming 620
participants, among which will be Animation World Network's own Ron
Diamond, in Cordoba, Spain. This record attendance shows that this event,
organized over the last 10 years with support from the European Union Media
program, has been established as an important industry event. This year
sixty-nine projects seeking partners will be offered to potential investors

Alexander Petrov, a Russian master animator whose best known films are THE MERMAID

and THE TRAGEDY OF A RIDICULOUS MAN, has completed a new film, THE OLD MAN

AND THE SEA, based on the novel by Ernest Hemingway about an old man's

struggle to catch a fish. Two years in the making, the film is now playing

at IMAX Theaters throughout the world and features Petrov's renowned

Tom Sito will host THAT '70s - 80s CARTOON SHOW! on Friday, September 17, at 7 pm. Meet Filmation directors Tom Tataranowicz and Ed Friedman; Lou Scheimer, Filmation's founder; Hanna-Barbera’s Jerry Eisenberg, designer of THE BANANA SPLITS and PETER POTAMUS; and Iwao Takamoto, designer of Scooby Doo and Penelope Pittstop. The evening will include screenings, plenty of stories and a chance to ask the creators about your favorite shows and characters. DreamWorks sponsors chariot race on Hollywood Boulevard

DreamWorks Home Entertainment is hosting a chariot race on Tuesday,
September 14 at 7:50-9 am to celebrate the release of DreamWorks' 1998
animated feature THE PRINCE OF EGYPT on home video and DVD. In the race,
