IESB reports that Todd McFarlane is in negotiations to produce another SPAWN film. McFarlane said that he hopes to write and direct the new film. Offers for the film have been put out to five studios with budgets ranging from big tentpole releases to indie sized productions. McFarlane is leaning toward the smaller film, which would be "creepy."

Cartoon Network Enterprises will work with Del Rey Manga to develop graphic novels based on the animated adventure series THE SECRET SATURDAYS, reports KIDSCREEN.

The first title is set to debut in September, with volume two coming before the end of the year. Featuring detailed, full-color stills from the series, the SATURDAYS comics will follow the same format as those based on BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE and BAKUGAN BATTLE BRAWLERS.

Chris Waldron has been promoted to the position of vice president, gaming operations for Cartoon Network, it was announced today by Paul Condolora, senior vice president, digital for Turner Broadcasting's Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media group. Waldron is now responsible for overseeing Cartoon Network's game development studio, game production, and overall games strategy for Cartoon Network Digital. Waldron is based in Atlanta and reports directly to Condolora.

G.I. JOE: RESOLUTE, an adult fan oriented animated mini-series, will be broadcast via Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on television as well as online. Based on the classic G.I. Andrew W.K., popular musician, television star and motivational performer, will moderate the mayhem between two teams as they take charge of demolition and construction.
