The CalArts School of Film/Video presents Showcase 2010, a festival of year-end screenings of  student work.

A showing of selected films produced by students in CalArts groundbreaking Experimental Animation program, including computer-generated 2D and  3D animation as well as stop-motion and other techniques.

Submitting your film for selection to the Imaginaria Film Festival automatically gives you different benefits:

1) IMAGINARIA Awards 2010 - if selected (deadline june 30, 2010)

2) Your film will be automatically listed in our FILMMARKET SECTION, an online catalogue listing Imaginaria participants. Allows Distributors, Agents, Web Content Buyers and other industry professionals to contact you directly

3) IMAGINARIA On Tour - The Imaginaria takes our hottest films on a non-stop trip to film festivals, screenings, and events around the world.

* Monthly Screening Series - audience elected monthly winners will be entered into the annual Imaginaria Audience Award competition.

To submit your film to the Imaginaria Film Festival, please read our eligibility requirements below.

If you're able to comply with these rules, please complete our online APPLICATION.

Note: All international submissions please clearly mark "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE - FOR CULTURAL PURPOSE ONLY" on your packages.

ELIGIBILITY

Films must have been completed after December 2007.

Running time for feature films must be no more then 20 minutes for shorts.

Short Films/videos must not have received italian network television distribution (including cable and PAY-TV). Competitive entries must not have commercial distribution in Italy to be eligible.

Foreign films submitted to the Festival must be subtitled in Italian or English.

Entries with Master Digital Supports (Blu Ray, DVD - HD 720p, DVCAM, DV) must be made available for presentation at least three (3) weeks before the event date.

Submissions are only accepted on DVD (PAL or NTSC). Entries, as well as accompanying materials, will NOT be returned and will become property of the organization and its archive.

Those selected for screening during the IMAGINARIA Awards will be notified at least one(1) month before the event starts by telephone or e-mail.

Those selected for the monthly screenings will be notified at least thirty (30) days before the event date by telephone or e-mail.
