Women in Animation will hold their Annual Meeting and Elections on
Saturday, June 26 at 10:30 am at Gnomon, Inc. Ballots were due by mail or
fax on June 18, but can still be delivered in person at the June 26

Several artists who worked on the classic Warner Bros. shorts will be on
hand at ASIFA-Hollywood's "A Looney Tunes Reunion" on Saturday, June 19, 11
am to 2 pm at the Johnny Carson Park in Burbank, California. Scheduled to
appear are background designer/director Maurice Noble, animator/director
Norm McCabe, Bob Givens, Pete Alvarado, animator/director Bill Melendez,

The Academy of Art College in San Francisco will open their annual Spring
Show, featuring the best work from the academic year, with a special
preview party for professionals to look at the work and meet the graduates

This summer, Disneyland, in Anaheim, California, will celebrate the 30th
anniversary of The Haunted Mansion, one of the theme park's most popular
attractions. In preparation for the August 9 milestone, on June 26 and 27

Alex Ross art auction will benefit UNICEF

Comic book artist Alex Ross will debut a limited edition lithograph from
the DC Comics graphic novel SUPERMAN: PEACE ON EARTH at the Warner Bros.
Studio Store Gallery at the corner of Fifth Ave. and 57th St. in New York
City on June 10, 1999 at 7 pm. The book tells the story of Superman's
efforts to alleviate world hunger. Sixteen pieces of the artwork to be
auctioned at Sotheby's later in June will be on display at the same Warner
