The gentle simplicity and the nature of taking
stories from around the world made this series an ideal candidate for these
awards. The characters are attractive but simple and would appeal to the
children of all nations. It is multicultural, full of poetry, has delightful
music and is of a standard not generally seen for younger children.

The sheer detail and dedication of the animators
make this half-hour series a joy to watch. It is obvious that the makers
love the project and have used their craft in the best possible manner.

This award is wonderful timing and great humor
in a script. It gives the series accessibility to a wide audience range,

TESTAMENT THE BIBLE IN ANIMATION/

This showed how the art of animation could be used
for great story-telling in a classical manner. The beauty of the puppets
faces, the execution of the production and the direction is absolutely stunning.
The Jury was also very impressed with the music score.

It was felt that this series had such charm and
so many wonderful character it would appeal to infants in countries all
over the world.

KABLAM
Kablam has such a new, fresh style, explores new
types of design and with the interesting mix of animation, timing and editing,
that the Jury felt it was pushing brave new boundaries. It is perfectly
suited to reach the teenage group.

THE LION KING'S TIMON & PUMBA
The Jury felt that this series could be shown in
any time slot by any broadcaster and could be watched and appreciated by
all age groups. The characters are highly entertaining and the pacing of
direction keeps the interest of the viewer from start to finish.

This is a wonderful example of how to open up animation
to audiences outside children's programming. It is highly amusing and entertaining,
has a good script and some superb characters. The pace of the whole episode
moves along and kept us entertained from start
to finish.

ROTTEN RALPH
This character reminded us of every naughty child
we have ever known. He will appeal to audience of all ages because of his
