Camelot Reborn at Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network will bring REBORN (working title) to the small screen, a re-telling of the legend of King Arthur that will be live action, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The toon network has been pushing toward the live-action side, with more than half of their new 19 shows and movies to be live action. Lionsgate president of motion picture production Alli Shearmur will exec produce with Travis Wright, who also wrote the project.
Disney Channel Europe Loses Two Execs
VARIETY reports that two London-based Disney Channel EMEA execs have departed the company: Steve Aranguren, VP for global original programming and managing director Michael Cairns.
The departure happened two weeks ago, and is related to Disney's full takeover of Jetix Europe. Bob Ferguson is now set to run the television side in the U.K. and Ireland and act as general manager for the Jetix and Disney Channels. He has more than 20 years of broadcast experience and 13 years running three Jetix channels in the U.K. and the Nordic region.

MyToons Shuts Down
Online animation site MyToons has been shut down. The company laid off between 20 and 27 people in January (according to blog TechCrunch), and have now closed their doors.
The company sent out emails to their store sellers informing them of the close, and their site (http://www.mytoons.com/) is effectively shut down as well, with the page leading to a cartoon bouncer with the words, "MyToons has closed. Thank you for all your support." at the top.

The Pulcinella Awards 2009 were announced at the conclusion of Cartoons on the Bay on Sunday. The various Pulcinella Awards are presented in seven competing categories, including best series for preschool, children, tweens and young adults, educational programming, best pilot, cross-media project, interactive animation, short film, best character, TV series, European program and best soundtrack.
Cartoon Network Asia Adds to Lineup
Cartoon Network Asia has announced a lineup of new cartoons that will be joining its current roster of animated shows.
Along with current shows BEN 10, BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE and STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, these new cartoons will include original series L.O.S.E., JIMMY TWO SHOES, MATT'S MONSTERS and CREEP SCHOOL and familiar favorites such as THE GARFIELD SHOW and season two of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS.
