The choice of the University for Foreigners (context of research and youth) for this year's edition is to be considered a confirmation of the particular interest that Cartoombria intends to show for the technological innovations and the new languages in the field of animated images.

At Palazzo Gallenga will take place previews and video programmes, conferences, screenings. Also available several workstations displayed in the Exhibition venue.

A live audio-visual performance, related to the artistic installation of the Exhibition, will close Cartoombria 2000. This final event, where sounds and images will be sampled and recombined in real time, is inspired by the 80 animated loops "Life from Pluto" by Saul Saguatti and accompanied by the musician Andrea Martignoni.

This year the Exhibition will continue to develop the profile established in the last two editions nonetheless providing a viewpoint more contemporary than historical and will focus particularly on the most interesting merging of different languages implemented by web animation.
