Call for entries to compete in the next Annecy International Animation Film Festival!

In true Rock Star style, Signe Baumane will be doing a rock tour with her feature film.

The 6th edition of the CEE year-long training program will consist of 4 modules and will help develop 12 animated projects

  On 17 August 2023, the world of animation lost one of the most creative and innovative animators with the passing of 67-year-old Paul Bush.

There are a lot of books about animating and recently I read three that deserve to be on every animator’s bookshelf. They are enjoyable to read and full of excellent tips and information for novice and professional animators alike. Two of them, Independent Animation - Developing, Producing, and Distributing Your Animated Fim and Acting for Animators are updated versions of previously published books, proving their popularity.

The 22nd edition of the MONSTRA Animation Festival had much to celebrate.

There was no better way to ring out the 2022 animation festival season than with a trip to beautiful Bilbao in the Basque Country of Spain for AnimaKom.

With a style that ‘blended expressionism and magical realism,’ the filmmaker produced 16 shorts and one feature, including the award-winning ‘Harpya’ and ‘Nocturnal Butterflies;’ he also served as ASIFA president for a decade and founded continental Europe’s first animation training course in 1960 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.

Budapest is a beautiful city any time of the year; in late November with the Christmas markets in full swing and cold, crisp air, it was a magical setting for Anilogue International Animation Festival’s 20^th Anniversary edition.
