MBC has been exporting its documentaries and dramas to strategic markets that include Japan, China and Southeast Asia. During the last few years MBC expanded to Middle East, Africa and South America in the MIPCOP and MIPTV market.

The center of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is its drama series. MBC has gained a huge fan base among the young generation in Asia. The most popular show exported over 50 countries is The Great Jang Geum (English title: Jewel in the Palace). The drama even recorded a 80% rating in some countries.
