I haven't checked comments about my review in a while. Thanks to all who posted comments, both positive and negative ones.

I remembered interviewing directors Lee Unkrich of "Toy Story 3," Dean DeBlois & Chris Sanders of "How to Train Your Dragon" just before the Oscars in Feb 2011, one comment they made was that to come up with a great story in animation is THE Hardest thing!  No wonder we have more bad movies than good movies ; ).

Keep sending comments about my movie reviews, I appreciate them all...

Thanks for posting your comments! I didn't think most kids enjoyed this movie either. I was hoping for something much better than what I saw, and was very disappointed!  Great minds think alike ; ).

I thought Wall-E and Rango both showed the damage of humans to our planet earth. In Wall-E, human produced endless trash and pollution.  In Rango, human exhausted the water source (using it for golf course...)

What? A child's review lacking in substance? ;-)

Ha ha ha! The kid is right! I'm dumb-founded at how earnestly all you (us) industry-types are working to try and justify this movie (why, just because because ILM did it? big deal).

Quirky, ugly character design does NOT equal appealing characters; senseless, tasteless violence does not equal a film marketed to children; and endless, snarky in-jokes do not equal an engaging story.

Disney would have hacked up a lung if he'd been forced to watch this crap, as did I. Go Perry!

Wasn't Wall-E More about love and the ramifications of polluting the planet, while Rango was more about power. Besides being in a barren place I don't really see a major correlation between the two.

Rango is a very funny movie, the ugliness of the characters is a style choice they make toward the grotesque and parody of western movies, they might have pushed it q bit far, but it makes sense with the story - also the ugliest and dirtiest need to be loved, etc.. It is not a disney movie, the meaning is quite clear, Rango finds himself , what he really is- he is Rango! for real- despite the fiction of his playing thatre, also good stories in movies have often to teach a lot on ourselves

I must say I disagree with this review. There are no arguments, just some absolute and unfounded statements like: "some do not resemble any living creatures, such as a character with shaggy hair and a beak for a nose"

I enjoyed the movie, wasnt the best, was just OK, but those arguments dont convince me at all and don't make me think about it, just reject it.
