Lisa gained her reputation as a seasoned Human Resource executive with 20 years of experience working for top entertainment companies including Lifetime, ABC Television, Pixar & Pure Management . Prior to launching greenlightjobs, Lisa held the post of Senior Vice President, Human Resources for E! Networks, and served as a member of the Operating Committee for over seven years. Lisa was responsible for implementing and directing key "best practices" initiatives for the company including re-engineering of its senior management team. While at E!, Lisa was responsible for assisting with the staffing and organizational development of E! Online and assisted with the strategic launch of the style network.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of “CTHRA” The Cable and telecommunications Human Resources Association, which supports and serves cable television and telecommunications industry. When it comes to finding and ACCEPTING a job offer we all have our lists.  It may be that your list contains what you would and would not want from your next job much like a list you’d create if you were picking the perfect mate.  But we all have our limits of what we would accept from a job regardless of how great it all sounds.  Even if you’ve been at this for a while, you still have standards, whether you choose to lower them or not is entirely a different matter. I’m not judging you by any means.  Let’s face it as we get older we seem less inclined to be as picky about certain things as when we were eager beavers graduating school wanting to take the world by it’s job-balls!

Most people think an understated approach to your job search is both respected and desired.  We are not trained on how to self-promote and celebrate our accomplishments particularly when it comes to writing a resume or a bio.  Often times we address ourselves in the third person or don’t address ourselves at all in a resume and use bullet points with statistics to talk about what we’ve achieved in our job. The next time you think a piece of paper or an electronic email is not an extension of YOU-think again.  Making the most of who you are and what you did on paper is as important as your in-person interview.  So when you have the chance to sing your praises, make sure to belt-it-out!
