MAX

The inaugural MAX event in Los Angeles is almost here. Set to take place at Club Nokia, I think I can smell the success brewing. Now, if you're still not sure what MAX is, here is a few minutes with the man responsible for it all: Chase Wang.

Recently at WonderCon in San Francisco, an overloaded schedule and a few personal misadventures hindered me from meeting the comic team of Scott Fry, Matt Maiellaro, Dave Willis, Craig Hartin, and Todd Redner. Fortunately I managed to catch up with them later (minus Matt Maiellaro) via phone.

Halo Anime

An interview with Frank O’Connor, Halo franchise development director, was included with the press release I received yesterday from the Halo team. Since Frank is such a great guy (I fortunately had the chance to talk with him during Comic-Con), I thought I should post his words.

“My name’s Zélie Bérubé, I’m 20 years old, and I’m currently going into my fourth and last year of animation at Sheridan College in Canada. This summer I’m interning at Auryn Inc., an animation studio in LA.”

Who doesn’t know Afro Samurai? That is the question. The sheer coolness of our afro-enhanced protagonist and his number one headband perhaps even rivals that of Steve McQueen. At least that’s what the ratings of the man channel, i.e. Spike TV, suggest.
