My Annual Holiday Animation Festival - A New Film Each Day
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Every year I try to showcase Holiday Animation. This year, we begin with AN OLD BOX BY PAUL DRIESSEN FROM 1975. I have been trying to find this film for years - to me, it is a Canadian Christmas classic. I found it on the National Film Board website.
Like most of Driessen's animation, the drawing is loose and the animation fluid. Driessen draws many of his transitions. This is hand drawn cel animation.
