Moving Into 2011 With Last Year's Art

As we move into 2011, I wanted to display some images, mostly drawings from last year. I have been having some moments here and there to draw characters and play with some new concepts. The other images are photos from Savannah. I miss the beach at Tybee Island. It is where I did most of my morning beach walks and for a while my plein-aire painting.

Now I am less than an hour from Ormond Beach (east) and two hours from St. Pete Beach (west).

I have not been out painting oils since we moved here in August. I have done plenty of sketching and watercolors at cafes. As I get to know the locations around this end of Orlando –the plein-aire stuff will happen.

I have located 3 possible venues for life drawing here in the area. In Savannah, there was only the Jepson Museum of Art – and sessions there were spotty at best. They tried - but the interest was not consistent.
