When folks say making a film is one of the hardest things to achieve –they are not kidding - especially if you are going it alone – in your own studio – on your own time – and without much of a budget.

As the smoke clears on South Orlando Avenue in Maitland, Florida, it is time to look back at the FLORIDA FILM FESTIVAL.

I had one goal going into the Festival – to see as many independent live-action and animated shorts as possible. I would watch until my eyes blurred over, steamed up and dropped out from constant  extreme usage.

A couple of months ago I attended a lecture at the Orlando Library by Jim Korkis author of THE VAULT OF WALT

The Topic was THE VAULT OF WALT - a new book that related untold stories about Walt Disney. The books gives insights into the man and the relationships in his life - as well as the projects he endeavored.

Well, it had to happen sometime. As much fun as Savannah is or was – there comes a time when a move is the next progressive step. For us, it seems to be every four or five years

After a welcome from the mayor and a few words from Ron Tucker, CEO of the Festival (he was the one who mentioned the party aspects) we mixed among the other guests and caught glimpses of the Festival’s special guests, Blythe Danner and Michael O’Keefe. 

As I sat at the abyss of the cyberland, I received the bad news. My computer’s hard drive was corrupted.

The Animation Winter Wonderland Tour was interrupted  by my crashed hard drive.
