Craig Barron has posted a really nice short film tribute to film historian and preservationist Kevin Brownlow, who this past Saturday received the Governors Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

In an LA Times article, Visual effects supervisor Craig Barron, who nominated Brownlow, said that Brownlow "devoted his life to preserving and celebrating the silent era and the artists who made the films. He is universally recognized as the silent film historian."

You can find the film here on Craig's company website. Barron himself won an Oscar in 2009 for his VFX work on Benjamin Button.
