Flipbooks beyond the drawn line.
Joyce Borenstein, the Montreal animator (and Oscar nominee) just brought Scott Blake's work to my attention. He's a fascinating re-mix artist, an activist and a flipbook animator. I'm intrigued by the way he moves out beyond the line, beyond the story to generate these challenging artworks. I've never seen or held one of his flipbooks but as interactive works of art they're intriguing. Must see more.
