Animation Bristol Expedition aired in 2008. The series is based on an online game with the same title that was co-developed by Groom Interactive and Dongwoo Animation. The animation is about a journey of friendship between six characters and a robot Nomario.

The online game Bristol Expedition gained a fan base among age 20-30 thanks to its adorable graphics. The animation series offer a different form of entertainment.

Before the Bristol Expedition became widely-known, there were three men who were known as the great explorers: Potter, Hermes, and Captain Flint.

Captain Flint was tricked into killing Potter (Jim’s father) and took a map of the Gold Islands from him. Captain Flint then collected all the pieces of the Heavenly Gate and finally opened it. But it turned out the Gate of Hell. He fell into Hell and became a ghost.

Hermes, the sole survivor of the group, took over the throne of Bristol where he was welcomed and admired deeply by its people. Bristol, the city of Expedition.

One day Jim, the hero of the story, happens to find a book. The book is none other than the last nautical logbook for an auction which contains a secret of the highest bid. It is about to fall into the hand of Reevesy, a son of a millionaire, when pirates led by Captain White Beard attack.Now, Jim together with Reevesy embark on an adventure with the logbook.

  • Characters/Specialties

Jim (age 13): Finding out about his father from Jackal, Jim wishes to become a great explorer like his father. He is the chosen one.

Lina (age 13, reporter): Jim’s friend. She is eager to make a headline. She reports the Expedition’s progress to the audience.

Nomario (Soul robot): The last key to the Heavenly Gate. Nomario fights the Dogs guarding the Gold Islands and helps to get the pieces of the Heavenly Gate with Jim.

Reevesy (age 14, navigato): Son of a millionaire. He is well-versed in theory and has a strong curiosity about the Gold Islands and the Heavenly Gate.

Silver (age 15): Wishes to open the Heavenly Gate, and find the treasure to make his name as a great pirate
