IGN Rallies Game Industry for Haiti

The folks over at IGN.com have rallied companies throughout the industry to donate tons of fantastic gaming related items - all to be auctioned off in order to benefit Haiti.

Almost everyone has heard of the tragedy that befell Haiti after a magnitude 7 earth quake struck leaving over 150,000 dead, and even more wounded.  Many charities and aid organizations have been collecting donations to help the poor souls in Haiti.  The game industry wants to lend a helping hand, too.  The folks over at IGN.com have rallied companies throughout the industry to donate tons of fantastic gaming related items - all to be auctioned off in order to benefit Haiti.

"On Wednesday, January 27, IGN will host a 12-hour online webathon soliciting donations from our readers. The webathon, IGN for Haiti, will be broadcast beginning at 9am PST and ending at 9pm. Viewers will be able to donate directly to our chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity, or they can jump to the IGN for Haiti eBay page to bid on auction items." -IGN

The auction will be hosted by IGN's lovely staffer, Jessica Chobot, whom you may have seen before on your XBOX Live dashboard.  They promise tons of great items that include a Bayonetta replica pistol, a full life size Lancer from GoW, and signed comic books from Stan Lee.  So please, tune in, donate, and do your part in helping the devastated nation of Haiti.
