Aurora World established headquarters in Korea and branch offices in United States, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. Aurora World operates factories in China and Indonesia with 12 showrooms and 12 distributors all over the world. In Korea, the company established Aurora Creation which runs Kids Café and Shop.

Aurora World develops, produces, and sells designs based on collected data from its worldwide offices and distributors. The company-owned characters such as Fancy Pals, Aurora babies, Milly, and Flopsie become global brands. Aurora World has developed characters based on species at risk of extinction in Yoohoo and Friends, and has expanded to other business areas such as plush, contents and games.
- Whatare your company’s main strengths?
Aurora World boasts three elements: design leadership, brand power, and a global network. The company established design labs and research centers all over the world. Sales of in-house characters account for 85% of total revenue. Also, the company was ranked as third in the category of Brand Awareness in USA Gift Beat. By building a global network with distributor and manufacturer, Aurora World integrated character development, manufacturing and sales.
- Whatare the greatest challenges, both from a creative and business standpoint thatcompanies like yours face in today’s economy?
Aurora World is in the process of developing Yoohoo and Friends animation season 2. The second season will be better quality and provide greater storyline. Aurora World is in talks of airing Yoohoo and Friends animation series outside of Korea. The company also plans to expand its licensing and merchandising businesses.
- Whatare your plans for 2010
Aurora World participates in tradeshows in Germany, Japan, United States, Hong Kong, and France every year. This year the company will go further to animation or licensing tradeshows in Cannes, France, Bologna, Italy, Singapore, and Las Vegas and LA in order to introduce Yoohoo and Friend to a larger audience.
