She was born in Prague, Czech Republic in 1961.
After gratuating in 1987 from the animation department at the University of Applied Arts in Prague with her first film "an Etude from Album", she started making films. In addition she painted and illustrated magazines and books, yet she devotes most of her time to animated film. She writes, directs, animates and designes her films using a technique of hand drawn animation. She accentates her main theme - complexity of personal relationships. Along with her work as a filmmaker she teaches animation at the University of Applied Arts in Prague as well.

Michael Dudok de Wit from Holland, presently lives in London where he works as a freelance Animator and Director with Richard Purdum Productions. He has directed many award winning television and cinema commercials. In 1992 he completed a short animatied film entitled "Tom Sweep".
