Due to the popularity of this event there will be another free program on job opportunities in 1997 (and possibly sooner). At least 200 people attended the event at SF State. Several of them have told me they learned a lot and that it was very helpful. People who brought portfolios to show our speakers said our lines were a lot shorter than the lines at the job opportunities fair held by ASIFA-Hollywood, so they got to show their work to more people. One person said that in LA he had to wait two hours to show his material to one person, and by the time he got to that person the man was exhausted and showed little interest in looking at anything. One of the speakers said he has looked at over 25 portfolios and reels since the event and that his participation was of value to his company.
Once again thanks to the seven speakers for making this a wonderful 3 1/2 hour event.
