The Short and Feature Fiction Film Jury was composed of Glen Keane, President, Susan Young, Marc du Pontavice, Bretislav Pojar, Jacques Drouin and Sunil Doshi. They awarded the following prizes:

The Grand Prize for Best Animated Short Film to "La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons/The Old Lady and the Pigeons" by Sylvain Chomet (France/Canada)

The Special Jury Prize to "The Mermaid" by Alexander Petrov (Russia)

The Prize for the Best First Film to "Onder de Wassende Maan/Under the Waxing Moon" by Hans Spillaert (Belgium)

Special Mention for Direction and Character Development to "Kot V Sapoghakh/Puss and Boots" by Garri Bardine (Russia)

Special Mention for Creative Expression and Sound to "On a Full Moon" by Lee Whitmore (Australia)

Special Mention for Graphic Style to "Death and the Mother" by Ruth Lingford (Great Britain)

The Grand Prize for Best Animated Feature to "James and the Giant Peach" by Henry Selick (United States)

 

The Television Film Jury was composed of Jacqueline Joubert, President, Linda Simensky, Theresa Plummer-Andrews, Christian Davin and Csaba Varga. They awarded the following prizes:

The Grand Prizefor Best Animated TV Program (Series or Special) to "Famous Fred" by Joanna Quinn (Great Britain)

Special Prize for Best TV Series (Episodes up to 12 minutes) to "Driving Test" by Candy Guard (Great Britain)

Special Prize for Best TV Series (Episodes 13-26 minutes) to "Duckman: Noir Gang" by Raymie Muzquiz (United States)

Special Prize for Inventiveness to "Un Point C'Est Tout/Just A Point" by Georges Le Piouffle (France)

Educational Film to "Talking About Sex: A Guide for Families" by Candy Kugel and Vincent Cafarelli (United States)

Advertising Film to "Martell: Legend" by Pat Gavin (Great Britain)

The UNICEF Prize to "Manhattan" by Ali Dieler (Germany)

 

The Fipresci Jury was composed of Boriana Mateeva (Bulgaria), Harri Römpötti (Finland) and Jacques Zimmer (France). The FIPRESCI International film critics' prize is awarded for its humor, virtuosity of its editing and the innovative way it seeks to involve the spectator to "The End of the World in Four Seasons" by Paul Driessen (Canada)

 

The French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Prize was awarded to "The Mermaid" by Alexander Petrov (Russia). The Jury was composed of Federico Vitali, Jean-François Pilhou, Christian Chalau, Gérard Delahaye.

 

The Graduation Film Jury was composed of Raoul Servais, President, Monique Renault and Guido Manuli. They awarded the following prizes:

The Prize for Best Animated Film to "Lili et Le Loup/Lili and the Wolf" by Florence Henrard (Belgium)

One Special Distinction for the Best Concept in 3D to "I Faust" by Stephen Hunt (France)

One Special Distinction for the Concept and Animation to "Frühling Spring" by Silke Parzich (Germany)

Prize for Best School Selection to Royal College of Art, London

The Jules Cheret Poster Prize to "Fado Lusitano" by Abi Fejo (Portugal)

 

The Public's Prize to "A Close Shave" by Nick Park (Great Britain)

 

The Mike Gribble award is given to the funniest film in the Festival. The Jury for the Mike Gribble Prize was composed of Marv Newland, Marc Topet, Marilyn Jornado, Paul Driessen and Candy Kugel. "Rubicon," "Chéri, Viens Voir" and "Killing Heinz" were considered, however, the prize was awarded to "Rubicon" by Gil Alkabetz.
