A Creative Arts Media Project for the Community of West Middlesbrough, England.

Middlesbrough born Artist Dave Brunskill worked closely with a group from the
West Middlesbrough community to produce a short animated film and documentary
exploring key issues of local concern.


The project was launched on Tuesday 13th August with a residential event in County Durham
- more than 20 people were involved. This was an opportunity for the young people
and residents of West Lane to work together to redesign and regenerate Carter Park.
In collaboration with Groundwork Trust, the group discussed ideas that will benefit
the whole community.



THE WORKSHOPS
The film workshops took place during September, October and November 2002 at
McMillan Learning Centre, Middlesbrough, and at the Parkmore Hotel, Eaglescliffe.



GALA PREMIERE SCREENING
A Gala Premiere of the film was screened at Teesside University Cinema
on 16th December 2002

The film was also be shown as part of ANIMEX TOWN - a programme of community animations
at ANIMEX- the International Animated Film Festival in Middlesbrough 2003



The film has also been broadcast several times on the BBC Learning Zone.
