Animation Consultants International has merged with the service division of The Animation Report, the newsletter edited and published by Harvey Deneroff. (ACI, was founded by Nick Bosustow, the Oscar and Emmy Award-winning producer, who has just retired to join the Peace Corps.) The company will now provide a full range of consulting services, ranging from research and analysis to production and distribution-related matters.

Animation Consultants International operates in two basic areas: Information and Production Services. Information Services:

  • Market research studies
  • Analyses of specific trends in animation, ranging from business trends and labor markets to new technologies
  • Historical research on all aspects of animation and the animation industry, including specific films, filmmakers and studios
  • In depth analytic studies of animation studios to aid in future planning, as well as to help judge a company's capabilities for specific projects
  • In-house seminars on animation designed to promote better understanding and cooperation within the studio/corporate environment
  • Organizing and coordinating conferences or conference panels
  • Briefings on latest trends and technology Production Services:
  • Representation of international companies in the US and Canada with respect to brokering animation production contracts and other production agreements, as well as introductions to major decision makers
  • Critiquing sample/demo videos to meet industry standards
  • Aid in studio planning and expansion, including financial projections, development of in-house training programs and labor-management strategies
  • Developing and creating company brochures and promotional tapes

Beyond the immediate services Animation Consultants International furnishes its clients, it ultimately provides:

  • Long-term access to the American animation industry
  • Valuable networking opportunities that can extend well beyond the initial assignment
